From The Bowels Of Hell
You might have noticed that it's been a long few months since Tribulation has had any movement. What’s happening? Well, lots of things! Let me tell you.
I’m not going to bother with refinement or editing on this post, so strap in.
Let’s start with the too-much-information category. I had major surgery! To spare the gruesome details, we’ll say it was a real pain in the ass. The recovery period lasted about two months. While inspired to continue to hack away at creative projects over its course, the fatigue of recovery was heavier than I expected.
I will tell you this. No part of my lapse has had anything to do, in any part, whatsoever, with the release of Baldur’s Gate 3. Nothing. Promise. I have spent no time down down down by the river.
I must confess, after stepping away from the project to recover, it was a monumental task to hop back on the horse. Lack of audience engagement, and the behemoth of work left to undergo haunted me. Yet, so too did the sunken cost hound me. In the end, the world of Ash and Ruin wouldn’t let me go. So, I dug in.
That stepping away also granted a fresh perspective. And, looking at the Tribulation guide began to offend my senses. It was time for a remodeling. It is that remodeling, a plethora of new art, and continued rule refinements that I will be presenting to my Crucible supporters today. Take a look.

Thanks again to my Crucible supporters for enabling my unhealthy obsession investing in this project. Not much further to go, my friends, until I can finally call this done (and start working on the expanded material ;) ).
Goals
Inspire developers and players alike with novel twists on an established platform.
Garner a deeper look at hardship, consequence, morality, and the nature of man.
Harbor more engaging, concise, and adaptive roleplaying experiences for new and jaded ttrpg players alike by finding a balance between deep, accessible, defined, and adaptable elements.
Create a grounded, dark, and mysterious living world that inspires me. Then see what players do with it.
Bit of playtesting is still needed. Concurrently, it is time to start marketing in earnest.
